Vayden James Stewart was born May 23,2009 at midnight. He weighed 4 lbs 15 oz and was 17 3/4" long. Vayden lived with us for 3 hrs 45 min, without any breathing support. We were so blessed to hear him cry, see him open his eyes and coo a lil. He was struggling but still strong. We miss him very very much but were so very blessed that he made it through a vaginal delivery and stayed with us for almost 4 hrs. God is Good. Vayden was 35 wks exactly. His in in heaven now, watching over his daddy, mommy and big brother Vashon. He was welcomed into nothing but love and he left with nothing but love. I will write soon with my birth story.
Can't believe our little miracle is 3 years old!

Wow, I knew I couldn't get past this entry with out tears. He is beautiful! Your family is so amazing, may he continue to rest in Heaven, yet another reason to be a believer and go to Heaven.
ReplyDeleteMany hugs
Oh, Stephanie what a beautiful baby boy. Truly an angel.
ReplyDeleteI am so blessed to have you in my life. You are such a strong, inspirational woman. Everything you do, you do with grace and class and an unshakeable faith in God. You are an amazing wife, mother, friend and all around human being. I am so happy you let me be there as a form of support during this time. I wish I could do so much more for you. I love you and Van and your angel on earth and your angel in heaven. I will always be here.

Stephanee,
ReplyDeleteI know I have written this before but I want to tell you again. I am so proud of you and all you did for Vayden! Your love was the best thing in this world that he could be born into and surrounded by. I know that you and Van are grieving right now and are missing Vayden so much already. I pray that you will find peace in time and that in the mean time you will be gentle with yourself.
You are a good mom! You have 2 beautiful sons. One here and one in heaven! Vayden is so beautiful and now he is completely whole! I know your prayers were that he would have complete healing either here or in heaven. I am so sorry that it had to be in heaven, but you know know that he will never be in pain.
Stay strong Stephanee! We are praying for you!
Sleep sweet baby Vayden, sleep sweet!
((((Hugs))))
Kristin
Stephanee,
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the perfect words to say. What a handsome boy. What a sweet gift to have been brought into the world with such love. I am so overwhelmed by this experience for you and Van and Vashon. I wish I could reach through the screen and hug you. You are such a wonderful Mom. You are an inspiration to so many people, and you are SO strong.
I know God doesn't give us more than He knows we can handle, but this is asking so much. I am proud of you. Of your strenght and courage, and your ability to help your Vayden and the rest of your family through this.
What a blessing that you got to spend almost 4 precious hours with your baby boy, and that you got to meet your Guardian angel.
I love you & am praying for you and your family, and I'm in awe of the woman God is molding you into.
Love,
Mandy Wichert
This is the song we sang at church yesterday. It made me think of you and your beautiful baby boy. Hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI will come to you in the silence
I will lift you from all your fear
You will hear My voice
I claim you as My choice
Be still, and know I am near
I am hope for all who are hopeless
I am eyes for all who long to see
In the shadows of the night,
I will be your light
Come and rest in Me
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
I am strength for all the despairing
Healing for the ones who dwell in shame
All the blind will see, the lame will all run free
And all will know My name
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
I am the Word that leads all to freedom
I am the peace the world cannot give
I will call your name, embracing all your pain
Stand up, now, walk, and live
Do not be afraid, I am with you
I have called you each by name
Come and follow Me
I will bring you home
I love you and you are mine
Steph, what a beautiful little guy. I'm so glad you were able to have time with him. I'm sure this is an extremely difficult time for you and your family, but I just wanted to send my thoughts and prayers. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteLove and Light, honey. You've been stronger through this than I have been with my pregnancy, and certainly stronger than I could have been in your shoes...truly an inspiration for times I have felt like the weeks just drag on. I can't wait to read your birth story. Peace and blessings to you and all your family.

ReplyDeleteWow this is beautiful - I heard about you from Lisa Fregien who posted online asking for prayers. Your pictures and blog are beautiful - your family is beautiful. I work with families often in sad situations like yours, I sell clothing for premature babies, and still I have to say you are an inspiration! Your love of Vayden and your very close loving family are just wonderful. Out of sadness and grief for a life that was too short, you have created something beautiful! Thanks you, I'm privileged to have read this.
ReplyDeleteStephanee,
ReplyDeleteThis is Jennifer, MamaBethany from NowISleep.
I've been following your blog, and was so surprized to see Vayden had arrived already! Oh hunny, I'm so sorry for your loss, but HE IS GORGEOUS and what a beautiful time you had together. You made all of the right decisions, honoring his life and giving him love, love, love. That's how he survived for 4 hours, you know....he was living on your love. I know how difficult it is to have been in that place. I'm praying for you and will continue to do so.
Love
Jennifer

ReplyDeletePraying for you - your faith strengthens mine!
ReplyDeleteI found you through April Rose's blog.
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches for you and your family. We just buried our daughter Olivia 2 weeks ago, so our pain is still very fresh. Vayden is a beautiful boy & so precious in his little uniform! I am glad you got to look into his eyes, snuggle him & make some beautiful memories.
What a beautiful baby! Thank you for sharing your story.
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
ReplyDeleteI came over from April Rose's blog. You are in my prayers. My heart aches for you and your family. May God give you and your husband the strength to keep up the faith in Him. Vayden was absolutely gorgeous; you make beautiful babies. :) God bless you and your family.
By the way I was stationed at Tinker in '96-98. Small world.
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
ReplyDeleteHe is PERFECT in every way! So beautiful, strong, handsome, precious!!!!! Let strength and faith carry you and your husband through this time. It's hard, it's challenging, it's sad, it's angry, it's unknown - but HOLD eachother and lift eachother up when the other is down!!!!
For your son, there is a book called "We were going to have a baby but we had an angel insdead." If I had an extra one, I'd send it to ya! I think you can order it on line or from a Barns and Noble.
Blessings friend,
Linda
He is so beautiful...
